Registration
Every graduating student receives an invitation to a convocation ceremony, where you can have your parchment presented to you on stage. If you're unable to attend, you can have your parchment mailed to you.

In order to be invited to a convocation ceremony, you'll need to apply to graduate from UVic:

We give students lots of time to decide whether or not you'll attend convocation. If you really want to come—but aren't sure you can make it—take your time making a decision.
Just make sure to respond before the registration deadline!
Spring 2025
Fall 2025
Invitations for fall convocation are emailed in late September.
Guest tickets
When you register for your spring 2025 convocation ceremony, you'll be able to reserve up to three (3) guest tickets.
- due to fire-code regulations, every guest must have a ticket (including infants and toddlers)
- graduates participating in their convocation ceremony do not require a ticket
- guest tickets are sent electronically to the email address you provided during registration, closer to the date of your ceremony
Extra tickets are released one hour before the start of a ceremony on a first-come, first-served basis. Instruct your guests to line up at the UVic Ticket Centre.

Invitation letters for international guests
If your guests need visas to travel to Canada in order to attend your convocation ceremony, request an invitation letter for international guests.
